Research Interests:
Regulation of endothelial integrity by the actin and microtubule cytoskeletons
Cytoskeletal dynamics play a crucial role in the stability of endothelial intercellular contacts. The current focus is on the co-operation between the actin and microtubule cytoskeleton dynamics in the regulation of cell-cell adhesion. In addition, the involvement of small GTPases of the Rho and Rab families and their targets in the regulation of endothelial cell-cell adhesion is being currently explored.
Technology: Confocal microscopy; Microinjection; Protein Biochemistry techniques.
